15 @ FUTURE CITIES

4 September 2017

Grieve Gillett Andersen

In our work, we place high value on community, culture and collaborative practice. We believe in invigorating architecture that contributes to a sense of optimism and forward thinking.

This is why we are excited to join Mulloway Studio in presenting the 15@Future Cities event, as part of the Festival of Architecture and Design and Open State – a festival of collaboration, innovation, ideas and enterprise.

This fast-paced speaker event will involve a diversity of speakers who will address the theme of ‘Superdiversity’ using their own creative practice, work or personal experience to examine the effect of diversity in population movement for Adelaide.

Within a set format of 15 slides by 15 seconds each, you will hear from the unique perspective of young people from primary through to university, chef, composer, architect, landscape architect, planner, older generations and multicultural communities.

We hope you can join us for this free 1 hour talk in the Open State Hub on Saturday 7 October at 12pm. For registration and speaker details, please visit www.fad.org.au

As part of FAD and Open State, Simon Carter will also speak at The Role of Heritage in our “Future Cities panel discussion on Thursday 5 October 3:30pm at the Office for Design and Architecture. Simon is a Graduate of Architecture with specialist expertise in heritage assessment and advice. He is currently undertaking Advisory Services for local councils across South Australian and Victoria, as well as working on architectural projects at Grieve Gillett Andersen.
