15 AT SALA FORUM TO EXPLORE THE THEME OF 'LIGHT'

15 July 2018

Grieve Gillett Andersen

The next '15' event will be held on Friday 10 August 5:30 – 7:30pm at Grieve Gillett Andersen Architects, as part of SALA Festival's Open Studios program, together with Mulloway Studio.

Join us on the "night of the shooting stars" as a diverse mix of speakers explore the theme of LIGHT, including:

  • Michelle Kelly – Contemporary Jeweller

  • Nigel Levings – Australian Stage Lighting Designer

  • Melanie Tate – CEO, Puddlejumpers

  • Chris Wilton – Visual Artist

  • Charlotte Crosby – Year 7 Student, Bags Of Joy charity with Women's & Children's Hospital

  • Juha Vanhakartano & Pavlos Soteriou – Tutti Arts, Co-Directors Lightspace

  • Jaana Bithell – Senior Interior Designer, Studio Nine Architects

  • Katarina Baumann – Landscape Architect, WAX Design

  • More to be confirmed soon…

15 is a vibrant, fast-paced ‘catch your breath’ speaker event. The premise of 15 is simple. Responding to the theme speakers frame a talk using 15 slides, each shown for 15 seconds, giving a total of 3 minutes and 45 seconds to share their work and ideas. By imposing a set timeframe, we level the playing field and create equality where the untrained enthusiast can present next to the polished CEO.

This is a free event, with no registration required, and some drinks and light nibbles provided.

Please share with friends, family, colleagues and anyone interested in a fun, relaxed evening of stimulating ideas.
Download the Flyer and register on the Facebook event.

History of 15
Launched in 2008 by Mulloway Studio, 15 has established itself as a platform where emerging young talent and experienced professionals can come together informally to talk about their work, or communities can share experiences. 15 has been part of many South Australian festival programs, including the Adelaide Fringe, Port Festival, Open State and the Festival of Architecture and Design, and we are excited to bring 15 to SALA Festival for the first time.
