The Aged Care Clinic augments the clinical services already offered at the Adelaide Dental Hospital, providing clinical treatment for aging patients, including those with reduced mobility.  In addition, it facilitates tailored clinical training in this specialised area.

The project delivers a six chair dental clinic, associated support and administrative spaces, including x-ray, clean-up, storage, office and reception areas; and cffices for the General Practice Unit.

All six surgeries as well as the x-ray cubicle are designed for wheelchair access and cater for the specific needs of older frail patients as well as at-chair tutoring and learning groups.  Generous circulation at the head end of the dental chairs provides space for students to observe treatment

Three of the surgeries are equipped with specialist lifts to improve dental services to patients confined to wheelchairs.
