David McLeod

David was appointed as an Associate in 2011 and is leading urban design, infrastructure and major projects at Grieve Gillett Andersen.

His project experience ranges across new residential, multi-storey residential, commercial fit-outs, educational facilities, correctional facilities, industrial maintenance facilities and transport interchanges.

David has had an integral involvement in all aspects of the transport projects undertaken at Grieve Gillett Andersen including design, 3D modelling review, client review, acceptance and sign-off, and construction. He also made significant contribution to the detailed design of platform furniture and other bespoke items relating to transport projects.

His broad experience has enabled David to work with a variety of clients and other design and building professionals resulting in successful projects that are driven by meeting and exceeding client needs and expectations through creative collaboration between the client and the design and construction team.

Prior to joining Grieve Gillett in 2005, David worked for Interlandi Mantesso Architects and NTMA Architects in Melbourne. David studied architecture after a career as a designer and maker of hand blown and cast glass.  He worked as an associate designer at the JamFactory Craft and Design Centre in Adelaide in 1993 and 1994.

David has specific interest in increasing the awareness of Environmental Sustainable Design principles during the design process and exploring the opportunity to include sustainable design solutions in all projects.
