ROYAL ADELAIDE GOLF CLUB - STAGE 5

16 February 2017

Grieve Gillett Andersen

The Women's Australian Open Golf championship tees off today at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club. Grieve Gillett Andersen (GGA) recently completed Stage 5 of the master plan works, which includes new Associates (female) locker and change rooms, new clubhouse entry concourse, buggy store and buggy servicing facilities.

GGA initially worked with the Royal Adelaide Golf Club in 2006 to create a master plan for the courses central facilities precinct including the clubhouse and pro-shop.  Since delivery of that plan, GGA has been progressively engaged to work with the club, systematically upgrading sections of the clubhouse and facilities in line with the original master plan.

"GGA has been working with RAGC over a number of years delivering multiple refit and infill projects as part of a broader facilities masterplan. Our satisfaction with each advancing project derives from being able to creatively improve club functionality and amenity within and between existing built fabric while sustainably retaining the core elements. Continued appreciation from club members of our subtle insertions is enormously gratifying." says Director, Paul Gillett.

Completed works have included the commercial kitchen and back of house areas, the players bar and adjacent function spaces, the reception and administration areas and the male locker and change rooms. Future Stage 6 works are scheduled as refit of the current Associates locker and change rooms to form new expanded function spaces served from the previously upgraded commercial kitchen. GGA is also currently reviewing and updating the original master plan, as the demand on the clubs’ facilities increases in response to a growing club membership.

"Recent Stage 5 completion of Associate facilities, buggy store and covered link delivers facilities complimenting the prestigious upcoming Women’s Australian Open Golf Championship," Gillett continues.

We wish all the players the best in their games this week, and congratulate Royal Adelaide on celebrating its 125th year in 2017.
